MARSHALL — The Wiley College men’s basketball team will face four NCAA programs in its 2019-20 schedule.

This will be the first season under head coach Chase Campbell.

The Wildcats will travel to NCAA Division I Southern University (La.) for the third straight season for an exhibition game on Oct. 25. For the second consecutive season, they will visit Tarleton State — an NCAA Division II program — on Nov.16. Wiley will face D-I UT-San Antonio on Nov. 22. In their final game in 2019, the Wildcats will visit Sam Houston State on Dec. 15. They beat the BearKats in 2015.

This season’s schedule features 28 games with 11 at Alumni Gymnasium. The Wildcats will host a scrimmage on Oct. 11 against Panola College. The season opener will be on Homecoming on Nov. 2 against Philander Smith. This will mark the third straight season the programs have met.

The Red River Athletic Conference Tournament will be at Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana on March 5-7. The 2020 NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will be March 18-24 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Wildcats are coming off a 24-7 season — reaching the second round of the NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship for the first time in 49 years.

Lady Wildcats unveil 2019-20 schedule

The Wiley College women’s basketball team reveals the opponents it will face in its first season under head coach Lenise Stallings with the release of the 2019-20 schedule.

The Lady Wildcats will play 27 games with 14 at home. They will begin the 2019-20 season with a pair of home scrimmages against Jacksonville College on Oct. 19 and Angelina College on Oct. 28. The regular season will begin on Wiley College’s Homecoming on Nov. 2 against Philander Smith College (Ark.).

On Nov. 11, the Lady Wildcats will play Southern University for the first of three games against NCAA D-I programs. Wiley College will travel to NCAA Division I program Prairie View A&M, which it has not faced since 1992-93, on Nov. 23.

The Lady Wildcats final non-conference game will be at NCAA D-I program Sam Houston State on Dec. 30.

The Red River Athletic Conference Tournament will be March 5-7 at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, Louisiana. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division I Women’s Basketball Championship will be March 18-24 in Billings, Montana.
