BECKVILLE — The new head football coach at Beckville used a different approach to reach his fan base last week at the Bearcat coaches hosted a Football for Moms Clinic.

Coach Cody Ross and his staff told the mothers in attendance what a typical work week will be like for the Bearcats from the junior high level through the high school team.

They also tried to help them understand the game better by having them line up in the same offensive and defensive positions that their sons will be in.

The highlight of the evening came when two mothers competed to see who could put the full Beckville Bearcats uniform on, including pads and helmets.

The Bearcats are coming off a 5-5 season and open two-a-days on Monday.
