KYLE, Texas — Carthage golfer Miller Harris picked up a pair of shots on Tuesday and used that to pick up a medal at the UIL Class 4A Boys State Golf Championship.

Harris toured the par-71 course at even par 71 after shooting a two-over par 73 in Monday’s first round.

First-round leader Jack Burke of Orange Little Cypress Mauricefield picked up one shot and was the wire-to-wire winner at 141. had the best round of the day.

Runner-up Logan Diomede of Argyle had the best round of the day with 2-under 69 to finish with the silver medal at 143.

Braxton Floyd of Pampa (75-70-145) and Jason Pittman II of Monahans (74-72-146) rounded out the top five.

Monahans won the team title with a 608 over Argyle’s 628 and Gatesville’s 339. Melissa and Andrews tied for fifth at 649.
