GLADEWATER-Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Mayo Davis, 77, of Gladewater, Texas will be 2 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2020 in the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Phillips and Chaplain Edd Friese officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 58 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Patricia Ann Mayo Davis was born January 9, 1943 in Carthage, Texas to the marriage of Willie J. and Ebby Earlene Maines Mayo and passed away December 28, 2020 in Gladewater. Patricia attended Carthage schools. She met and later married Leonard Ray Davis and together they celebrated many years of marriage until he preceded her in death in January of 1985. Mrs. Pat worked as a private sitter, caring for others and driving the Senior Citizen Bus. She was a member of First Baptist Church Beckville, the Red Hat Society and the Auxiliary for the V.F. W., and the American Legion. Patricia enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, and gardening, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Willie and Charles Mayo and sisters, Mary Soloman and Betty Jane Mayo; and grandson-in-law, Billy Joe Evans.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Barbara Johnson and husband, Mike of Carthage, Raymond Davis and wife, Debbie of Carthage, Cindy Johnson and husband, Lonnie of LeBanon, MO and Earl Davis of Gladewater; bonus son, Michael Redd Loggins and bonus daughter, Jennifer Northcutt. Also surviving Mrs. Davis is her brother, Wally Mayo and wife, Rose of Paola, KS; sister, Linda Bellamy of Carthage; grandchildren, Courtney Johnson, Tiffany Evans, Christopher Johnson, Emily Bloomfield, Ryan Boyles, Cody Boyles, Misty Ritter, William Davis and great-grandchildren, Tyler, MaKayla, Colby, Charley, Braxton, Anthony, Zachary, Jazleen, Isaac, Annistyn, Korbin, Melanie, Raine, Alexis, Annsley and Easton. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survived Mrs. Davis.
