KILGORE-Betty Randell Ready made her debut in Vivian, Louisiana at the home of her parents, Viva Yawn and Randell Ready at a starting weight of 2 and 1/4 pounds, the small size never hampered her at all. When first seen by her grandmother Daisy Yawn, she said, Now isn't that a Honey of a Gal, thus forever after known as Honeygal' Ready.
It has been said of her that she was Authentically One of A Kind and led a well lived life on her own terms. She was a mix of a Firefly and A Shooting Star' all in one. Life was an exciting adventure. Graduating from Carthage ISD, class of 1953, then on to TSCW aka TWU in Denton, Texas in 1957, with a degree in Metal work and Jewelry' she then became a Poet in Gold and practiced that trade until she retired in 2012. She added sparkle and delight everywhere she lived, and that included, East Texas, Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania, Martha's Vineyard, and even New York City, then back to Kilgore, Texas. She departed this life at her home on a Sunny Saturday morning December 21, 2019. Now on her next life in the Presence of God. She surely taught us all The Joy of Living
Those left to treasure her delightful memories are sister, Patty R. Clark of Kilgore; brother/cousin, Pat B. Browning, of Carthage, Texas; nephews, Joe David Clark and Patrick Clark of Kilgore, Texas as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends
