A Panola County grand jury returned two indictments of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, among others, during their April term.

Desiree Shante Johnson, of Kilgore, and Derrick Larry Colbert Jr., of Carthage, both face an aggravated assault charge stemming from separate incidents.

Johnson’s indictment stems from a Jan. 3 incident, and she was arrested that same day. Jail records show she made $10,000 bond that same day as well.

Colbert’s indictment stems from a March 10 incident. He was arrested March 11, with bond set at $15,000. Colbert remains in the Panola County Detention Center, records show.

The grand jury returned a total of 26 indictments, seven of which were sealed pending arrest.

Other indictments issued in April were:

  • Raheem Kerry O’Neil Marshall, of Carthage, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two measuring less than one gram and evading arrest/detention with a previous conviction, stemming from incidents on May 1, 2020
  • Jacob Thomas Woolf, of Carthage, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two measuring less than one gram, stemming from a Feb. 25, 2020 incident
  • Triston Dwain McMillan, of Carthage, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two measuring less than one gram, stemming from a Feb. 25, 2020 incident
  • Zequelius Davenport, of Memphis, Tennessee, for theft of firearm, evading arrest/detention with a vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, stemming from incidents on Dec. 22, 2020
  • Harry Wesley Herndon, of Caddo Mills, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group three measuring between 28 and 200 grams, stemming from a July 25, 2020 incident
  • Bear Isaiah Goodman, of Houston, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two measuring between four and 400 grams, stemming from a Sept. 18, 2020 incident
  • Ofelia Rios-de-Salazar, of Carthage, for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, stemming from a Feb. 20, 2021 incident
  • Anthony Jheryl Duane McDonald, of Houston, for theft of firearm, stemming from a Sept. 17, 2020 incident
  • Julia Durrett Hunt, of Gary, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one measuring between four and 200 grams, stemming from a July 4, 2020 incident
  • Jerlmichael Dangelo Clifton, of Houston, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two measuring less than one gram, stemming from a May 29, 2020 incident
  • Randrell Lynette Davis-Alexander, of Houston, for driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age, stemming from an Aug. 30, 2019 incident
  • Dylan Ryan Love, of DeBerry, for possession of a controlled substance, stemming from a Sept. 1, 2020 incident
  • Raymond Sherrod Harvey, of Mobile, Alabama, for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one measuring less than one gram, stemming from a Sept. 13, 2020 incident
  • John Lee Horn Jr., of Carthage, for deadly conduct discharge of firearm, stemming from a Jan. 3, 2021 incident
