The following items were submitted by the Panola County Sheriff’s Office:

Friday, Aug. 2

  • Deputy Phillip Grimes took a report of theft that occurred on FM 699. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto his property and stole 1,000 feet of 6-gauge copper wire. This case is under investigation.

Saturday, Aug. 3

  • Deputy Jacob Samford took a report of theft that occurred. Complainant stated that when he went to check on his property, he discovered that all of his timber had been cut down.

Deputy Chris Dickerson responded to the Beckville area regarding a burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputy Dickerson met with the complainant, who stated that some unknown actor(s) burglarized her vehicle. Complainant advised that the actor(s) stole her Michael Kors wallet that contained her Texas driver’s license, social security card and approximately $300. Complainant stated that she also had $30 cash just lying inside that was also missing. This case is being investigated.

  • Deputy Jeremy Nagle took a report of burglary of a vehicle that occurred on County Road 132. Complainant stated that when she walked outside, she found the doors and trunk open to her vehicle. Complainant stated that she was missing approximately $280 and different types of medication. This case is under investigation.
  • Deputy Heather Bowen took a report of theft that occurred on Country Road 119. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto her company’s property and stole a Continental compressor battery. This case is being investigated.

    • Deputy Phillip Grimes took a report of burglary of a vehicle. Complainant stated her ex-boyfriend showed up at her residence and removed the battery from her vehicle and replaced it with a non-working one. Complainant advised that she has attempted to call her ex to get him to return the battery, but he won’t answer the calls.

    Sunday, Aug. 4

    • Deputy Jeff Martin responded to a residence in the Beckville area in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. Upon arrival, Deputy Martin made contact with the complainant, who stated his granddaughter had stayed with him Friday night and after she left his residence, he noted $3,800 missing from his wallet. Complainant stated that he has tried numerous times to contact her, and she will not answer his phone calls.

    Deputy Jeremy Nagle was dispatched to a residence on FM 959 in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. Upon arrival, Deputy Nagle met with the complainant, who stated that he is the caretaker for the property and had come by to check on it. Complainant advised that while checking the property, he discovered that two air conditioning units were missing from the side of the house. Complainant advised that the actor(s) also broke into the residence and stole a dryer. This case is being investigated.

    Monday, Aug. 5

    • Deputy Heather Green took a report of burglary that occurred on U.S. 79 South. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) came onto his property and stole several items from two of his buildings. Complainant advised that the items stolen are an air compressor, weed eater, two chainsaws and a battery charger. This case is being investigated.

    Tuesday, Aug. 6

    • Deputy Calahan Malone responded to a report of an assault that occurred. Upon arrival, Deputy Malone met with the complainant, who stated that she had been assaulted by a male subject who had already left the residence. Complainant advised that she heard the male subject and her friend arguing, and when she attempted to intervene, the male subject slapped her across the face. Deputy Malone observed swelling to the complainant’s cheek. All information was forwarded to the DA’s office.
    • Deputy Shakami Manning took a report of a theft that occurred. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) stole a battery from his company’s location on FM 699. This case is under investigation.

    Deputy Hollie Mojica took a report of burglary of a vehicle that occurred. Complainant stated that some unknown actor(s) entered her vehicle without permission and stole her wallet containing her debit card and personal information. Complainant advised that the wallet also had approximately $55 in it. Complainant stated that she has already contacted her bank to cancel her cards. This case is being investigated.

    Wednesday, Aug. 7

    Deputy Joshua Nagle responded to a male subject with stab wounds. Upon arrival, Deputy Nagle met with the victim, who had two stab wounds to his torso. The victim advised Deputy Nagle that he was unsure about where the incident occurred. The victim also refused to provide a name of the suspect and advised that he did not wish to pursue charges at this time.
