Panola College will hold a blood drive in Carthage later this month.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, Panola College in Carthage will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. inside the Health and Natural Sciences Building.

“Someone needs blood every two seconds,” said Laura Wood, Director of Harrison and Marion County Operations and Marshall College Center.

Donors who wish to participate in the Carthage blood drive on November 21 may schedule their appointments by logging into https://donor.lifeshare.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/201993.

Appointments are not necessary. Donors may also stop by either location the day of the blood drive and should bring a photo ID.

Wood said blood donations are needed to help people fighting cancer or sickle cell anemia, or those who are needing surgery or suffered in an accident. “Your donation could impact the life of someone you know, someone you meet, or your closest loved one,” she said.
