A Carthage woman is the third person to be arrested on federal charges of trafficking methamphetamine, arrest and court records show.
Illona Annette Amburn, 40, is charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two counts of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Amburn was arrested Saturday by the Panola County Sheriff’s Office.
Further details on the allegations Amburn faces were not immediately available.
Amburn, along with Amanda Rae Williams and Marvin Robert Williams, are defendants in a still-partially sealed federal case filed Nov. 20 in the Eastern District of Texas.
From court records, which list the case as USA v. SEALED, it appears that there is still at least one other person charged in the case because the case name remains sealed.
