The Carthage Service League met at the Sammy Brown Library Hospitality Room on Tuesday, April 13.

It was great to be able to get together as a group and discuss activities and projects that have been accomplished during the pandemic.

President Harriet Huff called the meeting to order with a prayer. Cherie Gibert reported on the Thrift Shop. The shop was blessed with donations and customers during the pandemic. The Thrift Shop located on the square in Carthage has returned to regular days and hours: Monday through Friday, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations are accepted every morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

The committee appointed to present two scholarships to Panola College to qualifying graduating area seniors will present these at the assemblies in May.

Nancy Langford reported on activities at the Sammy Brown Library. The library was busy with STEAM Camp during the Spring Break. This was a great success as a come and go format averaging 22 children a day. The Brown Bag Lunch Book Club was well attended in March.
