Foley Rentals now offers U-Hauls

Foley Rentals in Carthage now offers U-Haul rentals, the U-Haul Company of Texas announced.

The business will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, moving supplies and in-store pick-up for boxes.

Foley Rentals is located at 2178 SE Loop. Business hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Reserve U-Haul equipment by calling (903) 263-0994 or visiting uhaul.com.

Panola College extends Starbucks hours

Panola College announced this week that the Starbucks at Charlie's Bistro will now be serving drinks until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Punch cards will be available for frequent visitors.

The college noted Charlie's Bistro will not be serving food during the extended hours.

Chick-fil-A opens at ETBU

A new Chick-fil-A has opened on the East Texas Baptist University campus in Marshall.

The restaurant is located inside the Ornelas Student Center and is open to both the ETBU community and the public. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Parking is available at the corner of East Avenue and North Grove Street. 

TSTC to host solar energy class

Texas State Technical College in Marshall will host a continuing education class on solar energy from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 in the South Building. 

Using solar energy means low water usage, long-term price certainty and energy security, according to the Texas Solar Power Association’s Texas Solar Industry Overview released in March 2019. More than $4.5 billion has been invested in solar projects in Texas, according to the trade association.

A registered professional engineer will teach the course. The cost is $75 and includes a combination of lecture and hands-on training. To register, contact TSTC’s Workforce Training department at (903) 923-3442.
