The program will run Thursday mornings starting Feb. 3 and ending March 3, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Sammy Brown Library in Carthage. The program costs $15, and scholarships are available.

There will be guest speakers, light refreshments, free recipes, and free giveaway items for everyone each week with a chance to win a larger prize at the end.

The class topics are:

  2. Are you eating the right number of carbohydrates?
  3. Beyond the diet
  4. Beyond diet and physical activity
  5. Celebrating diabetes control while avoiding complications

Caregivers/family members and people with prediabetes are also encouraged to attend. Interested participants must register by Jan. 26 at www.panola.agrilige.org under the Family and Community Health tab.
