Ladycat Basketball gets a win over Avinger 38-19

Union Grove Tx- The Beckville Ladycats when into Fridays Contest against Avinger needing a win and that is exactly what they got, downing Avinger 38-19. The Ladycats would out shoot and out rebound Avinger on their way to the win. Although they are still struggling with the turnovers Beckville found a way to win and that's all that matters.

8 Players would put points on the board for Beckville and 7 of those would add rebounds. Leading the way once again was Jordan Tondreau with 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 1 assists. Miranda Mize, who shot 57% from the field, had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assists. Caroline Pepper had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist.

Courtlyn Nail added 4 points, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds. Hannah Humphries and Heather Searcy had 2 points each and Brandi Tillman had 3 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, 1 block and 2 assists. With some many people involved this was definitely a team win for Beckville. With 18 steals on top of out-rebounding Avinger you can see why they Ladycats where able to put the Lady Indians away.

With the win Beckville would get their record to 4-4 and only have a one game break before returning to the court at 6:30 against the McLeod Lady Longhorns.
