State Rep. Chris Paddie, pictured at left, receives a plaque from Dr. John C. Ray, Panola County Retired School Employees Association president, in recognition of Paddie’s efforts for Texas retired teachers.

State Rep. Chris Paddie, R-Marshall, spoke to members of the Panola County Retired School Employees Association (PCRSEA) on Sept. 5 in the Murphy-Payne Community Room at Panola College.

Paddie explained that the major school finance and property tax reforms, which passed in the latest legislature, will have positive effects for East Texans. Paddie also praised the legislature’s decision to increase funding for the teacher retirement system and healthcare.
