A dedication for the new Panola County African-American Wall of Fame is set for Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m., Omowali Lumumba said.
The Wall of Fame is located at the corner of MLK Boulevard and Cook Street in Carthage.
The wall will be honoring the first 32 Panola County residents of past and present who met the criteria for the wall, such as people with 20 years or more on their job; veterans who have been honorably discharged; people on a state championship team; public officials; etc.
Each honoree will have a gold star plaque with their name placed on the wall.
