The Lake Murvaul Northside Community Park got a tremendous boost from the American Heritage Girls of Carthage when they took on refinishing the pipe fence surrounding the park.

More than a dozen girls, with the help of parents and friends, came out last Saturday to power wash and paint the aging fence.

“We appreciate their amazing help with this project,” Ken Pauley, president of the association leasing the park, said.

The park is leased by the Lake Murvaul Northside Neighborhood Association to provide a fun place for people of all ages to enjoy recreation. The park now has picnic tables, swing sets, and an attractive fence.

The Association is a nonprofit organization accepting donations and volunteer activities to continue to improve the park. Contact Ken Pauley at (903) 754-5393 for more information.
