Carthage Service League celebrates Christmas

Carthage Service League members participating in the December meeting and games were Jo McMillan, Shirley Murray, Harriet Huff, Kay Williamson and Alice Newton.

The Carthage Service League met Tuesday, Dec. 10 in the Hospitality Room at the Sammy Brown Library to enjoy the Christmas season. The table decorations and refreshments reflected the holidays.

The members brought various items to donate to Isaiah 58 for Christmas.

President Harriet Huff presided over the business meeting. Reports from committee chairs were heard.

Appreciation was expressed to everyone working at The Thrift Shop for keeping Christmas items stocked. Patrons have expressed their pleasure at shopping in the well-organized and seasonally-decorated store.

Upcoming events at the Sammy Brown Library included “Cookies for Santa” presented by Cookies and Cakes by Carrie, Dec. 23 for ages 5 to 10. Also, a stocking guessing game was held in the library.
