A Panola County restaurant was recognized this spring as one of the best from this season of The Texas Bucket List.
Chuck’s Country Smoke House came in at No. 5, with host Shane McAuliffe enjoying a visit to the restaurant located near Lake Murvaul on FM 1970.
“If you’re driving through East Texas and get a whiff of barbecue, you may just be near Chuck’s Country Smoke House,” the show’s announcement of its Top 5 Bites reads. “This shack turned restaurant in the woods is serving up some of the best barbecue around. From their Susie Q sandwich to the Frito Bomb, Chuck’s is sure to satisfy any barbecue lover.”
The rest of this season’s Top 5 Bites are White Buffalo Bar in Marathon at No. 4, Ceviche Ceviche in South Padre Island at No. 3, Brasserie 1895 in Friendswood at No. 2 and The Turkey Leg Hut in Houston at No. 1.
