All assignments and information for home learning is available on the district’s website at beckvilleisd.net/home-learning. It will be updated with the week’s assignments each week the school is closed.

Meals are being served for BISD students at Beckville Sunset Elementary from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the week. A menu for the grab and go meals is available on the district’s website.

The administration office and the business and tax office are closed to the public until April 3, but employees will remain working behind closed doors Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be available to answer any questions over the phone. Gary ISD

The district will not have traditional classroom gatherings at the school at least until March 27, with the school reviewing school closure on Thursdays.

Students will receive work packets with one assignment per class each day they are out.

Parents and students were able to pick the work packets starting Tuesday, March 24 between 10 and 11:30 a.m. They were instructed to drive up to the cafeteria and remain in the car while instructional materials were delivered to them. Students who did not pick up their packet are having their packet mailed to their home. The district said students will turn in their work the next week when they return to school or at the following Tuesday’s instructional material pick-up.

“The goal of these packets is to ensure students continue their education and receive credit for the days we are out of school,” the district said. “Students are expected to complete all assignments as each one will be graded for mastery.”

Cold breakfast and hot lunch will be available each day the students are out of school at the cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the district said. It is free to all GISD students. Like the packet delivery, it is be delivered to one’s car, so parents or students will need to give the students’ names and someone will bring it out to them.

Anyone who resides in the district and can’t make it to campus for meals can contacted the administration office at (903) 685-2291 or email their campus principal to arrange delivery.

All UIL activities are postponed through March 29, including practice and open-gym activities, the district said.

Panola Charter

The district will remain closed through Friday, April 3.

Students are able to work from home online within the district’s online curriculum, Edgenuity. Students are able to send messages to teachers within the student portal. Teachers are available each day through the week to assist students and answer questions any student may have.

The district is also making plans on checking out Chromebooks to students later this week.

Elysian Fields ISD

The district will remain closed through Friday, April 3.

For at home learning, the district has a tab on their website, efisd.net, labeled At Home Learning. Parents or students can click on their grade level to be brought to a document with their assignments for the week. The section on the website also includes middle school online resources, online learning resource links and downloadable resources by grade.

In addition, paper learning packets filled with activities for families without internet access will be delivered with meals on Tuesday or may be picked up from the front of the high school on Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Last week the district said they are offering two options for meals provided Tuesday March 24 and Thursday March 26. During the deliveries, two breakfast meals and two lunch meals will be provided per child in sack lunches.

Parents can pick up meals from Elysian Fields High School between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. outside the high school under the covered walkway where buses pickup and drop off students. Families will not be able to enter the campus during the meal service nor get out of vehicles. Alternatively, they can pick up meals at the bus stop. Bus drivers and monitors will be running their normal bus routes and making deliveries between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Someone will have to be at the bus stop to receive the meals. Parents are asked to complete the meal delivery survey on the district website.
