The Panola County District Clerk’s office will be closed to the public starting Friday, March 20 in an effort to protect the staff and public and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Lindsey Smith, Panola County District Clerk, said they will continue to work behind closed doors and provide the usual and customary clerk functions and processes related to emergency court orders, as well as issue any necessary warrants and writs as directed by local courts.
They will also continue processing court filings through the Texas Efile System and answer phone calls, emails and mail requests during regular business hours, Smith said.
The clerk’s office will take appointments for all filings and requests that can’t be made through the efiling system, and those will be restricted to only the people involved.
Call their office at (903) 693-0306 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for any needed assistance.
“The District Clerk’s office is committed to making the records filed in our office accessible to the public, and we will continue to do our best to work with each of you to meet your needs,” Smith said.
