Carthage ISD released a statement Wednesday afternoon that they are aware of the severe weather threat around the time of dismissal.
"We will use all necessary precaution to keep our students safe," their statement read. "If the need arises, we will shelter in place until the threat passes."
This could mean that buses will run late and students will arrive home later than usual. The district said it will alert parents and keep them in the loop as best they can while the situation develops.
