Letters to Santa

Drop off letters to Santa at the Watchman offices between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday. Letters will be accepted through Dec. 21.

Editor’s Note: As part of our longstanding partnership with Santa Claus, we gladly publish this letter sent to the young children in Panola County ahead of the Christmas season.

To Panola County girls and boys,

It’s that time of year again! Time to narrow down your Christmas wish list for that special day that’s right around the corner. I’m waiting for your letters.

For the past year, Santa’s elves have been busy making all types of toys, from video games and DVDs to old-fashioned board games, Barbie dolls and action figures.

The North Pole warehouse is full, just waiting for wish lists from kids all over the world, especially from all my little friends in Panola County. In between visits to Grandma and Grandpa, the Thanksgiving turkey and pumpkin pie, I hope you have had time to think about what you would like to find under your Christmas tree this year.

I’m collecting wish lists from your area now, and as usual, I have arranged for my friends at The Panola Watchman to help carry your letters directly to the North Pole.

No letter is too long or too short. If you don’t have spell check, don’t worry. I can still see well enough to know what you want and can tell whether you’ve been naughty or nice.

Letters may be dropped off at The Panola Watchman or the Carthage Post Office. Simply write me at: Santa Claus, The North Pole.

May your holiday season be full of good cheer,

Santa Claus
